Oil and mixed media on canvas. This painting was a part of a series of works that explored and questions whether gestural abstraction can today remain a relevant means of self-expression. I explored the use of pastel, charcoal, oil paint and pigment as the tools to create an image that reinterprets and repurposes gestural mark making as the focus of the painting.
